We are changing how we are doing bat tour tickets this year. Details of this will be posted here no later than April 1st with the submission being required by no later than May 1st. We will plan on doing five tours that will take place in the evenings of either July or August for best viewing, dates to follow. Thanks for your patience as we try to improve this process.

Evening Bat Watching
The Gates of the Mountains is home to the largest population of bats in Montana. In the evening the bats come out of their crevice roosts to forage on insects. There will be wildlife biologists from Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks on board to talk about the bats. The boat will travel to the middle of the upper canyon, shut off the motor and watch the out migration. You should bring flashlights to light up the bats on their way out of the canyon.
